Even though we are all longing for spring and summer to finally return, I just wanted to take a moment to enjoy the tail ends of winter. Curling up with the ones we love to stay warm, crackling fires, hot chocolate, sweaters, scarves, and warm cozy blankets all make the cold biting wind and ice worth it. The dark days filled with brown seemingly dying plants is just a prelude to the wonders that are about to hit us all with the coming of spring showers. Be silent and reflect on what the world brings us during the cold days ahead!
“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
“The moment one gives close attention to any thing, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.”
“To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug.”
